Job Description

Key Skills: SDET, Java, Selenium Roles & Responsibilities: A QE Lead is confined to a particular delivery squad and follows the scrum model and delivery governance as part of the squad Takes part in Progressive Elaboration sessions, Software design and development. Also understands the business and testing requirements of AUT (Application Under Test) Responsible for unblocking any quality-related issues which are blocking the Quality Engineers' delivery by escalating at the right forum (People or groups) Responsible for ensuring the quality standards and process are followed by the respective QEs across delivery squads Participate in software development process including fixing small and simple production code, review code written by other developers, if required Responsible and accountable for all QE deliveries across delivery squads of high quality Responsible for the quality assessments of the deliverables/user stories in the delivery squad Have a SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) mindset of conducting RCA for any defects Accountable for the automation of all the user stories across delivery squad i.e., ensures that QEs are not blocked by any issue and are working on the prioritized automation user stories first Responsible & accountable for the creation/updation and review of Test Plans, (TSR) Test Summary Report, RTM and Complex Test Docs by understanding the business and testing requirements of the AUT Participate in testing effort estimates and actuals to deliver stories/features Work across the squad to identify opportunities to deliver Quality Engineering KPIs Active participation in Review and Governance Improve Automation Test Suite Coverage Active participation in code reviews, performance optimization, and debugging Number of defects leaked into production. Provide guidance to the Quality Engineering (QE) team. Lead the effort of ensuring that all products owned by the delivery squad meet the business requirements. Ensures Product/Software quality. Expirence Requirments: 8- 14 years of quality engineering experience and strong Software Automation Testing mindset Strong programming skills in Java, Cypress/Python Proficiency with automation testing tools and/or other comparable technologies Experience of creating UI Automation Frameworks and Test Suites using Selenium, Cucumber, Page Object Design Pattern, Page Factory, TestNG etc. Experience of creating API/Backend Automation Frameworks and Test Suites using Rest Assured, Junit, Mockito, Spring Boot, Cucumber, Kafka/MQ, Wire mock, Postgres Cloud and CI/CD Experience - Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Docker & Kubernetes, Jenkins Strong experience of performing functional testing in different phases of software development life cycle and in CI/CD projects Proficient in creating/maintaining Test Beds and Test Docs Knowledge of software development, software design, and overall system architecture Experience of leading a small team and exhibit leadership qualities Experience in testing scalable web services (REST or SOAP) and APIs in a microservices architecture Experience in scripting language like Perl/Python/JavaScript/Ruby/Shell scripting Experience in Performance testing using Scala/JMeter Experience in JavaScript-based automation framework, example - Cypress Minimum Education Qualification / Certification Requirements Qualifications: UG / PG in Computer Science.
