Software Development Engineer II

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Dev Engineer Tester at MetLife's Group Disability technology organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and quality of deliverables. Working closely with developers and stakeholders, you will conduct thorough testing to meet both functional and user experience standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and test artifacts. - Identify, create, and leverage appropriate test data. - Execute and evaluate manual test cases, reporting test results accurately. - Automate and maintain test cases for reusability and regression testing. - Identify, isolate, and document bugs clearly and concisely. - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects. - Participate in requirements/design reviews and provide input on functional requirements and product designs. - Perform regression testing after bug resolution. - Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 2 to 4 years of experience in software testing. - Strong understanding of software development life cycles, methodologies, and quality processes. - Experience in various testing types such as functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. - Proficiency in writing clear, concise test plans and test cases. - Familiarity with Agile frameworks, regression testing, Tosca, and Azure. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
