Project Summary
PRO-telligent supports the U.SDepartment of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) to implement a Justice Sector Assistance Program (JSAP) in the West BankIt focuses on providing technical support, capacity-building and logistical support to key stakeholders in the Palestinian justice sector, including but not limited to law enforcement, the public prosecution, judicial institutions and security agenciesPlease noteOnly West Bank-Gaza residents are eligible for this position**
Position SummaryThe Software Developer will support criminal justice and anti-money laundering digitalization initiatives for the JSAP projectThe Software Developer will ensure compliance with PRO-telligent and Tetra Tech Duty of Care StandardsThe Software Developer will be supervised by the Deputy Chief of Team and will be based in RamallahResponsibilities
Lead key digitalization efforts in the criminal justice and anti-money laundering sectors to enhance case processing efficiency and user experienceConduct programming design and analysis on key platforms including Java, Python, or C++
Perform user experience (UX) research to improve usability of software solutions
Perform other operational related duties as assigned by Deputy Chief of Team
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer/data science or related field is requiredMasters degree preferredMinimum five years of related experience working on software development required
Experience providing technical support under U.S
State Department funded projects preferredFamiliarity and experience working in the West Bank required
Experience working with the justice sector preferredAdvanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
Advanced knowledge of programming languages including but not limited to Java, Python, and C++
Strong adaptability, communication, proactive problem-solving, service-oriented, and interpersonal skills required
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with colleagues from different cultural and professional backgrounds required
Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English required
