Description
The role provides opportunity to develop ITNM features especially in GUI and Integration modules using various front end and backend technologies including Java, Java script, JSP, ASP.net etc. Also there is scope for technical support assistance directly (remote sessions / cognitive support platform) to clients, using problem determination and analytical skills. You will be involved in the following:
Analyse and understand requirements, Plan implementation schedule, Develop, Unit test, document and deliver changes to customers.
Own and implement customer request for enhancements (RFEs), Modernisation & Serviceability improvements.
Work on defect fixing and provide resolution to customer reported bugs (known issues) and internally found bugs.
Provide dev triage to customer reported issues (PMRs) that support team can’t resolve and find solutions.
Look for avenues to recommend, or implement, new solutions or improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, or processes.
Collaborate with other development and support teams to find appropriate solutions.
Communicate with the team and management regularly and keep them updated of the status and progress.
Participate in department objectives such as building the knowledge base, improving serviceability, mentoring team members, and contributing to high customer satisfaction.
Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise 7 to 11 years of overall experience in software development with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade applications. Extensive UI Development experience including dynamic web pages using JSP and Servlets, with strong knowledge of the MVC architecture, exposure to JavaScript, Java Portlets, Struts Framework, Dojo toolkit. Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, multithreading etc using core and advanced Java. Java full stack capability will be given priority. End-to-end involvement in software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Familiarity with Linux, DB2/Oracle, GitHub, JIRA, Maven, Jenkins etc
Preferred technical and professional experience Basic understanding on telecom domains EMS/NMS, Network devices (switches / routers..etc) and their internal components and their communication protocols. Good development exposure to implementing REST/SOAP APIs using Java. Knowledge of cloud-based development (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience in debugging complex issues across layers and proposing long-term, scalable solutions. Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based development environments. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.
