Role Overview: As a Software Developer at Emerson, you will be responsible for developing tools and applications for Ovation Green SCADA, a specialized system designed for renewable energy assets. You will work as part of a global development team to create solutions that empower users with enhanced control over their energy sites. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new applications, bug fixes, and expand features in existing applications. - Design and develop frontend software. - Deliver solutions that meet collaborator needs and customer expectations. - Provide timely information across the organization. - Design and review technical specifications and architecture. - Develop multi-layer, cross-platform applications using design patterns. Qualifications Required: - Commercial experience with React.js 3+. - Proficiency in React.js and its core principles (components, state management, hooks, lifecycle methods). - Familiarity with TypeScript for type safety. - Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. - Understanding of front-end build tools and pipelines. - Communication skills in English. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration. - Experience with Microsoft development tools. - Proficiency in software design principles and methodologies. - Ability to resolve and debug software issues. - Conduct manual unit tests and perform unit and integration testing. - Experience with full-lifecycle projects and formal software development methodologies. - Ability to work in diverse environments with remote teams. - Design and implement RESTful APIs. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science or related field. - 4-7 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in software development. - Experience with Web-sockets and Tomcat servlet engine. - Knowledge of SQL Server, Apache Cassandra, PostgreSQL databases. - Experience with Junit tests. - Understanding of SCADA systems, networking, and renewable assets. - Basic knowledge of Redux and Agile methodologies. - Expertise in a technology or product area.
