Software Developer - DevOps Engineer IT ||Gurugram

Job Summary

The DevOps engineer with 3-5 yrs of work experience will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet Jindal Group's needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and be familiar with either JAVA or .NET or both, and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The DevOps engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.

The DevOps engineer should identify automation and improvement opportunities in the application development and release processes. The candidate should work with application developers and application engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended, while also supporting Jindal Group stakeholders in planning projects and providing relevant inputs in project management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborating with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle

2. Designing and implementing automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment

3. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application development, deployment, and operations

4. Implementing and maintaining version control systems, configuration management tools, and other DevOps-related technologies

5. Ensuring compliance with industry best practices and Jindal Group's policies related to development and release management

6. Continuously improving processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity

7. Maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Infrastructure and Networking in the cloud environment

8. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem

9. Innovation: Invest 10% of effort in innovation outputs related to agile DevOps management

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, information system or equivalent experience

2. Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps management/ engineering - 3 years of experience working in in heavy industries like Steel Manufacturing/ Power Generation/ Mining industry is desirable

3. Experience administering and deploying through CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, etc.

4. Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions, such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kuberntes etc.

5. Familiarity with agile software development in .NET or JAVA

6. Working knowledge of database systems

7. Ability to organize and plan work independently in a rapidly changing environment

8. Candidates with professional DevOps certification will be preferred

9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
