Software Backend Engineer

You are an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer (L3) with a strong background in backend development and scalable architecture. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems that support highly scalable products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, taking the lead on backend initiatives and ensuring that you are up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the industry. To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development. Your expertise should include proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, and MySQL. You should also have a solid understanding of designing and developing scalable, microservices-based architectures. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, S3, WebRTC, FCM & APNS, and HMS push notifications is essential. Additionally, you should have experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, as well as messaging and streaming tools like RabbitMQ/Kafka. Strong testing and debugging skills using tools like Jest, Mocha, and Chai are also required, along with excellent collaboration and communication abilities. While not mandatory, experience with frontend technologies like React.js, XMPP, and Scaling Sockets would be beneficial. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and knowledge of system architecture improvements and performance optimization techniques are also considered advantageous. In terms of qualifications, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. You should have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in backend software development, with a proven track record of building scalable products and thriving in fast-paced environments.
