About the Role

Enrich Lives Foundation (ELF), in collaboration with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has adopted Parmanandwadi MPS School to ensure quality education and holistic development of children from marginalized communities. The Social Worker will act as a bridge between school, parents, community, and ELF, ensuring smooth implementation of educational and child development programs.

Key Responsibilities

· Build strong rapport with students, parents, teachers, and community members.

· Liase with local leaders, NGO’s and private schools

· Mobilize and counsel parents to ensure regular school attendance of children.

· Identify children at risk of dropping out and provide necessary support and interventions.

· Facilitate community engagement activities, parent meetings, and awareness sessions.

· Support school principal and teachers in resolving student behavioral or social issues.

· Conduct home visits to address absenteeism, health, and psychosocial concerns.

· Liaise with government departments, local authorities, and ELF teams for student welfare schemes.

· Maintain documentation, reports, and case studies of interventions and impact.

· Support the implementation of ELF programs (academic, co-curricular, and social initiatives) at the school.

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field.

· Minimum 1–3 years of experience in community work, education sector, or child welfare projects (freshers with strong motivation may also apply).

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Marathi and Hindi proficiency essential; English preferred).

· Ability to build trust with parents and community members.

· Problem-solving, counseling, and conflict-resolution skills.

· Documentation and reporting abilities.

· Passion for working with children and marginalized communities.

Reporting To

· School Principal (for day-to-day activities)

· The role is based at Parmanandwadi MPS School (BMC setup).

· Candidate must be flexible, field-oriented, and solution-driven to ensure impact.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
