Social Media & App Growth & Development Lead

We're building an innovative social media and wellness digital platform at the pre-development stage. This role is a unique opportunity to be hands-on in building, growing, and managing an app from concept to launch and beyond. We are looking for someone who has real-world experience working on or managing app projectswhether launched or failedand who is comfortable managing holistic social media strategies along with technical/product coordination.

This is a high-impact, startup mode role requiring a builder mindset, resilience, and passion for wellness, social connection, and digital storytelling.

App & Product Development:

• Work closely with the founder to develop the app MVP for Android/iOS.
• Coordinate between UI/UX designers, developers, and testers to translate concepts into functional features.
• Manage feature roadmaps including social feeds, chat, community rooms, and gamification elements.
• Track sprint progress and assist with backend/frontend deliverables.
• Provide input based on user psychology in wellness, spirituality, and community engagement.

Growth & Social Media Marketing:

• Create and execute user acquisition strategies including pre-launch signups, waitlists, and beta invites.
• Build & manage influencer and creator programs to fuel organic growth and engagement.
• Run organic and paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok-like platforms.
• Develop referral systems, push notifications, and retention loops to maintain active users.
• Design and implement a content calendar aligned with wellness, spirituality, and Gen Z culture.
• Manage content creation for multiple channels such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Community & Content Integration:

• Onboard early content creators, coaches, and thought leaders.
• Experiment with AI tools to create viral reels and branded content themes.
• Work proactively to blend product experience with meaningful, authentic content.

• 38 years of experience in app development, growth, or product management, preferably social/community/lifestyle apps.
• Experience with app building, UI/UX coordination, or product marketing in the app ecosystem (launching or working on failed or pivoted projects).
• Strong skills in social media marketing, influencer collaboration, content calendars, and digital campaigns.
• Familiarity with tools like Firebase, Mixpanel, GA4, React Native/Flutter is a plus.
• Creative, strategic thinker with excellent communication and content-writing skills.
• Passionate about wellness, spirituality, and creating emotionally engaging user experiences.
• Comfortable navigating fast-paced startup environments and ambiguity.

• MVP app launched on Play Store and App Store.
• 10,000+ organic installs fueled by influencer collaborations and organic campaigns.
• Achieve daily active user retention of ? 35%.
• Onboard 10+ creators to a vibrant content calendar.
• Develop a prioritized v2 feature roadmap based on user feedback.
