Social Impact Mentor

The primary responsibilities of this role include mentoring students to identify social causes they are passionate about and assisting them in creating impactful and admission-worthy project plans. You will guide students in planning, launching, and scaling their initiatives using frameworks from social entrepreneurship, design thinking, or nonprofit leadership. It is essential to help students frame their project work as part of a larger academic and personal narrative to enhance their college applications. Providing consistent feedback, check-ins, and ensuring project outcomes are meaningful will be crucial. Additionally, leveraging your network or experience in the nonprofit sector to connect students with relevant partners, mentors, or media is expected. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience in the nonprofit, social enterprise, or youth development sector. Understanding what differentiates an extracurricular project on elite university applications is essential. A strong passion for mentoring youth and fostering their development into confident and capable changemakers is key. Strategic thinking abilities and the capacity to coach students in leading high-quality, well-documented initiatives are necessary. Being organized, communicative, and able to inspire others to collaborate effectively is highly valued. This role is based onsite in Bangalore.
