Job Description

You are a motivated and resourceful Academic Profile Development & University Guidance Counselor, dedicated to assisting high school students in creating compelling profiles for prestigious global universities such as Ivy League, Oxbridge, top EU/Canadian/Asian schools. Your primary responsibility is to conduct research and provide recommendations on strategic academic programs, courses, research opportunities, and extracurricular activities that will enhance the students" chances of gaining admission. Your key responsibilities include researching and suggesting relevant programs, competitions, online courses, research opportunities, and academic projects to help students develop exceptional profiles. You will customize guidance based on each student's academic interests, career aspirations, and target universities. Collaborating closely with students, you will assist them in planning their academic and extracurricular journey over a 12-year period leading up to the application season. Additionally, you will support in updating and enhancing student documents such as resumes, activity lists, and portfolios. In this role, you will stay abreast of trends in admissions criteria, particularly for highly competitive programs globally. You will aid students in identifying impactful summer schools, mentorship programs, Olympiads, and certifications. Furthermore, you will provide insights into the expectations of top universities from applicants and advise students on how they can distinguish themselves. Maintaining detailed progress records, you will offer regular updates to the team and families as necessary. To excel in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Previous experience in education consulting, mentoring, or working with high school/undergrad students is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong research skills, the ability to identify niche opportunities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as organizational, empathetic, and committed nature are essential. Knowledge of global university admissions, especially in the US, UK, and Canada, is considered a significant asset.,
