SOC L1 Engineer

Job Description

Experience- 2-5 years Education : Technical Graduate (BE/BTECH/MCA/BCA) Responsibilities : SOC Operations : Coordinate and manage security monitoring with the SOC team (vendor) to ensure coverage of all assets, detect and respond to incidents, and document the resolution process. Incident Response and Closure : Investigate and manage incidents, collaborating with the network and vulnerability specialists as needed, and ensuring incidents are closed with documented actions. Threat Intelligence : Gather threat intelligence to support proactive detection and response and update threat patterns. Access Reviews : Perform periodic access reviews for assets and applications to ensure the principle of least privilege is maintained. Security Tools Monitoring : Oversee and monitor security tools (e.g., XDR, PAM, WAF, MFA, Zscaler) to detect and respond to any security issues promptly. Coordinate with vendors and IT team on security tools implementation and maintenance Reports to CISO : Daily : Summary of incidents detected, investigated, and closed, with details on critical events. Weekly : SOC operations update, including incident trends, asset coverage status, and key intelligence findings. Monthly : Detailed SOC performance report, including incident response metrics, threat intelligence insights, and access review results.
