Role & responsibilities

Security Operation Delivery Manager

Role Overview:

The Security Operation Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of cybersecurity operations, ensuring service excellence, and driving performance through insightful analysis and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of cyber operations workflows and influencing capabilities and relevant technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Delivery & Operational Oversight

Lead the delivery of day-to-day cybersecurity operations across multiple technology domains.
Ensure adherence to contractual deliverables, SLAs, and service quality targets.
Collaborate with technology leads and factory model teams across:

SOC/SIEM & Platform (e.g., Azure Sentinel)
Dark Web/Deep Web tools (e.g., Flare, Cybel Angel)
Email Security (e.g., MDO)
Vulnerability Management (e.g., Qualys)
Threat Intelligence (e.g., Anomali)
Threat Hunting support
IAM ( IGA, PAM, UAM )
Cloud Security
Network Security

Conduct daily stand-ups to maintain operational control and visibility.
Drive service improvement and automation initiatives .
Act as a trusted advisor to customer leadership, providing recommendations based on best practices and operational insights.
Monitor and manage incidents, problems, and change requests within scope.

Performance & Metrics

Analyze operational metrics and KPIs to identify trends, tell a compelling performance story, and drive continuous improvement.
Translate data into actionable insights for both internal stakeholders and clients.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) aligned with contractual terms.

Process & Governance

Handle escalations effectively and proactively.
Support scope changes and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
Ensure compliance with technology audit standards and governance frameworks.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Influence internal security tower leads and cross-functional teams to align on priorities and improvements.
Engage with clients CISO office in meaningful conversations, demonstrating credibility and strategic understanding.
Communicate clearly and confidently across technical and non-technical audiences.

People Management

Manage team availability, shift rosters, and backup coverage.
Guide delivery teams to align with customer processes and expectations.
Prepare and analyze dashboards for team and service performance.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Experience: 12+ years in cybersecurity operations , with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or delivery role.
Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity operations and service delivery.
Ability to interpret operational data and drive performance through storytelling.
Gravitas and influencing skills to engage internal stakeholders and clients effectively.
Broad knowledge across cybersecurity domains; deep technical expertise not required.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
