Job Description

About the Role:

SOC Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor security alerts, logs, and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoints, etc.) and identify potential security incidents.
Investigate and triage security events, determine severity, and escalate incidents as necessary.
Conduct
incident response
activities, including analysis, containment, remediation, and reporting.
Maintain and tune
SIEM systems
(e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar, or LogRhythm) for optimal threat detection.
Perform
vulnerability monitoring
and assist in remediation efforts.
Document incidents, actions taken, and outcomes for audit and compliance purposes.
Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement preventive and detective controls.
Participate in
threat hunting and malware analysis
as needed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of
emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques
.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as
CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, GCIH, or CISSP (Associate)
.
Experience with
endpoint detection & response (EDR) tools
like CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, or SentinelOne.
Knowledge of
cloud security monitoring
(AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience in
threat hunting and advanced persistent threat (APT) analysis
.
