Soap & Detergent Production In-Charge

Job Summary:

The Production In-Charge will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities in the soap and detergent unit. This includes managing production schedules, maintaining product quality, supervising staff, optimizing machinery performance, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all production activities in the soap and detergent plant.
• Monitor batch processing, mixing, saponification, drying, and packaging operations.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within defined timelines and cost parameters.
• Maintain high-quality standards as per BIS and company quality norms.
• Supervise and train plant operators, helpers, and maintenance staff.
• Optimize raw material usage to minimize wastage and improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of machines and equipment; coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Maintain production records, stock reports, and daily production logs.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality control, and supply chain teams for smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions promptly.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma.
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in soap or detergent production (manufacturing plant experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of soap making, detergent formulation, mixing processes, and plant machinery.
• Ability to lead a production team and manage multiple shifts effectively.
• Good understanding of quality control parameters and safety protocols.
