SNOW Developer

As a ServiceNow Developer / Platform Engineer, your role involves designing, building, and enhancing enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You should have strong development skills and a deep understanding of platform engineering concepts. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, configuring, and customizing applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform. - Implementing solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or GRC. - Developing and maintaining catalog items, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and integrations. - Collaborating with platform engineering teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and automation of ServiceNow applications. - Working on integration of ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and MID Servers. - Building and maintaining custom applications on ServiceNow App Engine. - Ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines. - Conducting unit testing, peer code reviews, and supporting QA and UAT activities. - Troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing permanent fixes. - Contributing to DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation for ServiceNow development and deployments. - Staying up to date with ServiceNow releases and recommending adoption of new features. Qualifications required for this role: - 7+ years of experience in IT with a strong focus on ServiceNow development and platform engineering. - Proven experience in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), workflows, and integrations. - Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data model, ACLs, and security. - Hands-on experience in ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or others). - Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and integrations. - Experience with platform engineering concepts: automation, cloud (Azure/AWS), CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and ITIL processes. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Good to have: - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and advanced certifications (CAD, CIS in ITSM/ITOM/HRSD). - Exposure to ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, or Orchestration. - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and monitoring tools. - Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native solutions.
