SMT Technician

As an SMT Technician at Data Patterns (India) Limited in Chennai, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment. To excel in this role, you should have a qualification of ITI in Electrician/Electronic Mechanic or Diploma in ECE/EEE, or any degree with 2 to 3 years of experience in SMT. Your key responsibilities will include configuring and calibrating SMT machines like pick-and-place, Juki & AMS machines, soldering equipment, and reflow ovens. You will ensure the proper placement of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and set up SMT machines according to work instructions and equipment manuals. In this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of safety procedures, feeder loading, component identification, IPC-A-610 standards, and SMT assembly techniques. Your ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, along with troubleshooting skills, will be crucial for success. Additionally, you will be expected to perform regular maintenance and cleaning on SMT machines and tools to ensure smooth operations. Experience of 2 to 3 years in the Electronics Design and Manufacturing industry will be beneficial for this position.
