Skateboard and Battery Structure- CAD Design Engineer

As a Skateboard and Battery Structure CAD Design Engineer at Dorle Controls, you will be responsible for supporting OEMs EV platform by focusing on CAD design of frames, subframes, battery structures, and thermal bridges. Your role will involve ensuring manufacturability, durability, and seamless integration of these components. The ideal candidate for this position would possess expertise in CATIA V5/V6 and have a strong background in sheet metal design to provide robust, high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Support facilities activities at Novi, MI and Blythewood, SC depending on the development cycle stage - Perform packaging studies to optimize design solutions - Provide media for engineering presentations to stakeholders - Incorporate CAD models into OEM KVS systems - Modify components based on OEM Engineering direction to meet design, engineering, and safety requirements - Design sheet metal components and assemblies for various applications - Support manufacturing feasibility assessments, part performance improvements, and interface changes - Develop new parts and assemblies as required for the project - Conduct engineering studies to enhance design efficiency - Release CAD data in KVS system for documentation and collaboration purposes Qualifications Required: - Expertise in CATIA V6 and V5 for CAD design - Ability to perform packaging studies for efficient design solutions - Knowledge of OEM systems and processes - Proficient in English (reading, speaking, understanding) - Extensive experience in designing sheet metal components and assemblies Please note that you can share your resume at samruta@dorleco.com with the subject line - Skateboard and Battery Structure- CAD Design Engineer, and then apply through our career webpage at https://dorle-controls-llc.careers-page.com/.
