Education - BE Mechanical with experience 15+yrs

Purpose of the Job/Job Mission

Leading the site team including subcontractors, external interfaces and the interface to the customer on medium projects. (Type B projects)

Attaining complete knowledge of the site execution plan, time schedule, scope of supply, major subcontracts, budget and account structure, status of documentation, site staffing plan, applicable local regulations and restrictions. Ensuring compliance with company-related directives and EHS standards.

Essential Functions

• Overall responsibility for all site related activities in order to delivering and handing over the project successfully, on time, on quality and safely to the client in accordance with the con-tract requirements
• Ensures site organization including, clear identification of walkways, manages permit to work system, vehicles, accommodation, manages laydown and storage areas and installs and maintains site facilities as required to perform the job and support the site staff
• Acts as prime point of contact for the project with the client and contractors on site, including progress management, site organization, EHS, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications
• Execute daily (if required), weekly and monthly comprehensive reports, initiate and execute gate reviews as appropriate
• Select and hire local personnel as required
• Manage and lead the site team in order to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets
• Take necessary actions to maintain high site morale
• Conduct daily and weekly meetings with staff and subcontractors, ensure that all site relevant documents are handed over to site personnel
• Places an emphasis on safe construction practices (target zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Leads by example in driving safe practices on site
• Monitors progress of construction against the program and takes steps to ensure the pro-gram is achieved. Initiates as required mitigation/ preventive actions to achieve target pro-gram timely while maintaining the budget.

• All parties to the project are able to make optimum decisions based on information furnished from site
• Customer satisfaction survey targets are achieved
• All required performance assessments are completed
• Compliance with processes, procedures and tools
• Ensures that EHS goals are set and monitored
• Provision of experience feedback to other projects and functions
• PMI Certificate
• Multilingual
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Site Engineer/ Advisor or proof of sufficient skills
• Technical and commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines • Proven ability to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives
• Strong planning, organising and priority setting skills, with a proven ability to man-age teams
• Extensive knowledge of Plant principles and complex projects experience
• Planning, organising and coordinating skills in an international environment • Proven ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors.
