Role & responsibilities: 1. Project Execution: Oversee on-site installation and commissioning of solar PV systems, ensuring adherence to project designs, technical specifications, and safety standards. Supervise construction activities, including the installation of mounting structures, PV modules, inverters, and related components. Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and other team members to ensure timely completion of project milestones. Assist the Site Manager with daily operational activities and ensure smooth execution of tasks. The engineer should maintain records of any changes in drawings due to site conditions. The engineer will also need to keep track of material issued versus material consumed by the contractors. 2. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all on-site activities comply with project quality standards, safety norms, and applicable regulations. Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper installation and system performance. They should be responsible for maintaining all quality-related documents, including checklists and test reports. 3. Technical Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Address and resolve technical issues arising during the installation and commissioning phases. Support in post-commissioning maintenance activities as required. 4. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment with project objectives. Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to the Site Manager and project stakeholders effectively. 5. Monitoring of DC, AC, and Earthing Work: Supervise and ensure proper execution of DC, AC, and earthing-related tasks in line with project designs and standards.
