1.2. Areas of Responsibilities This role will be primarily responsible for supporting modelling and simulation activities for various applications, development of robust component level as well as system level models to help design team build robust products 1.3. Key tasks Mathematical modelling of Electromechanical hydraulics systems by understanding applications and relevant physics for hydraulics systems Verification and validation of models wrt to measurements Creating library models specific product models (Digital Twins) Creating high level systems pulling together all the individual components Lead technical discussions working with design teams as well as comprehensive report writing of the results and finding Collaboration across simulation specialists across the organization Export relevant models for customer usages, participate and contribute to Root Cause Analysis Programming standalone applications for others to use programming and maintenance of existing tools 1.4. It will be an advantage, if you have: Experience and exposure developing solutions at system level by understanding the hydraulics architecture Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink through demonstrated application on projects Programming skills Python, C++ Understanding of parameter optimization and sensitivity studies (DoE) Understanding of Electro-mechanical systems (motors/inverters) Working in global team setting 1.5. Success Criterias Understand the customer (internal and external) pain-points and provide solutions Help the team to make efficient data driven decisions on designs and solutions Reduction of prototype tests - testing designs only when necessary Enabling and percolating virtual testing methods and capabilities among the design team, application engineers and software engineers Provide analysis and reports back into the business; this could be impactful analysis that may affect the work group or project team, suppliers, multiple units, and both internal and external customers. Able to convey technical analysis to both technical and non-technical colleagues 1.6. Important aspects, with impact on the job Travel to Global locations for learning and experience sharing (App. 5-10 days of travel per year) 2. Candidate 2.1. Minimum requirements to educational background Masters or similar education in Controls, Instrumentation and/or Mechanical Engineering with a simulation background with 3-5 years relevant simulation experience. 2.2. Minimum requirements to working experience Understanding of basics of hydraulics systems and physics associated with it Hands on experience in system level simulation of physical systems Hands on experience on MATLAB Fluent and comprehensive English skills written and spoken 2.3.
