Simulation Engineer

Role Overview: Function as a solution specialist in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics using simulation tools such as ANSYS FLUENT. You will be responsible for preparing simulation plans, creating simplified CAD models, defining mesh attributes, performing CFD simulations, analyzing results, and preparing reports with conclusions and suggestions for product performance improvement. Additionally, you will engage in problem background research, collaborate with team members, provide technical assistance to the sales team, and ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables. Key Responsibilities: - Have effective communication and align with project requirements - Prepare simulation plans and align the simulation strategy with the requester - Create simplified CAD models - Define mesh attributes and assign boundary conditions - Perform CFD simulations, analyze results, and prepare reports - Engage in problem background research and collaborate with team members - Provide technical assistance to the sales team - Develop and strengthen long-term customer relationships - Guide in-house efforts to expand customer accounts Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or other Mechanical related technical disciplines - 2-5 years of relevant experience - Knowledge of gas dynamics and shock interactions - Knowledge of external aerodynamics - Basic knowledge of MATLAB for post-processing - Fluent dynamic and overset meshing skills - Experience with ANSYS FLUENT or other commercial CFD software - Strong background in Gas Dynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer & computational fluid dynamics - Aerospace background with combustion knowledge - Familiarity with Fluent 6DOF UDF's, external aerodynamics best practices, adaptive meshing, pressure-based and density-based solvers, low subsonic to hypersonic flows, job submission on cluster, TUI journal utilization, and parameterization through SpaceClaim and Fluent for simultaneous design point runs.
