Should Costing Engineer

Position: Metal Machining Costing Engineer

Years of Experience: 8-12 Years

Educational qualification: Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 9+years of experience or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die making with 12years of experience

Primary Responsibilities:

• Estimate the machined metal parts manufacturing cost
• Estimate parts assembly cost
• Recommend cost effective solutions for the designs
• Responsible for internal prioritizing, task planning, coordination and execution day to day tasks
• Interact with suppliers, OEM manufacturer to carry out day to day tasks
• Propose feature enhancements of the current process
• Analyse the Cost provided by supplier and recommend ways to reduce the cost

Mandatory Skills:

• Should have parts manufacturing & shop floor experience (Machined parts)
• Should have strong exposure to pre and post parts fabrication process (Heat treatment, Coating etc.)
• Should have knowledge on estimating the cost of Machined Metal parts.
• Should have knowledge in dealing with Limit, Fit and Tolerances, GD&T, Metrology
• Should know MS office tools (Excel)
• Good communication skills and analytical skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to Costing techniques
• Exposure to Complex Bill of Material Management (BoM)
• Exposure to SCM/Procurement
• Exposure to PLM
• Exposure to CAD (Creo / Nx)
• Experience in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry
• Understanding of DFx
• Knowledge of MS Office

Candidate should have experience in working with Machine Shop, Machining process Knowledge, Costing Experience , Machine & Material Selection Skill, Drawing Reading Skill ,Tool Selection Skill, Cycle time calculation , Surface ,Treatments Experience DFX Proposal Other Commodity Exposure .
