Short visit nurse (Freelance/ Part-time)

As a Short Visit Nurse at AssistHealth, your role involves providing brief, in-home nursing care tailored to specific patient needs and care plans. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing short-term, in-home nursing care based on patient needs and care plans. - Administering medication, performing wound care, and monitoring patient conditions. - Conducting health assessments and promptly communicating any concerns or changes in the patient's condition to the healthcare team. - Educating patients and their families on health management, including medication routines, recovery processes, and lifestyle adjustments. - Documenting patient care activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. - Collaborating with the AssistHealth team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Maintaining a high standard of patient confidentiality and privacy in compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Qualifications required for this position include: - Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active state license. - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in home healthcare or related fields. - Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle a variety of medical conditions in home settings. - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. - Ability to work independently, manage your schedule, and have reliable transportation to visit patients" homes. Additional Requirements: - Current BLS/CPR certification. - Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. - Must pass a background check and comply with AssistHealth's safety protocols. This position offers part-time or freelance job types with a contract length of 12 months, requiring no less than 4 hours of work per week.
