Shopify Team Lead

As an experienced Shopify Developer at WAC, you will be responsible for leading the Shopify team and contributing to the development and maintenance of our Shopify-based e-commerce platform. Your expertise will be crucial in improving user experience, enhancing performance, and implementing new features to drive conversion and revenue growth. You will collaborate with design and marketing teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. Customizing and modifying existing Shopify themes to align with brand guidelines and enhance user experience will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will develop custom Shopify themes, templates, and components based on project requirements. Optimizing website performance for fast loading times and responsive design across different devices will be essential. You will also integrate third-party applications and plugins to extend Shopify's functionality. Staying updated with the latest Shopify trends, best practices, and industry standards is necessary to suggest improvements and innovations. Your role will involve participating in code reviews, providing feedback to maintain code quality, and ensuring consistency. Continuously improving processes, introducing best practices, and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle are key responsibilities. You will create website architecture, conduct performance tests, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience). You should possess at least 4 years of hands-on experience with Shopify development, including custom theme development, custom app development, app integration, and performance optimization. Proficiency in Shopify CLI, version control systems, and development workflows is required. Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, liquid templating language, PHP, MySQL, and server architecture is essential. Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus. Strong understanding of responsive web design principles, cross-browser compatibility, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are important qualities for this role. Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members are also necessary.,
