Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Shopify Backend Developer with 2–3 years of experience to join our eCommerce development team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, and API integrations, along with the ability to leverage AI tools effectively for faster coding, debugging, and technical research.

You’ll work on building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify/Shopify Plus stores for global brands while collaborating with designers and backend teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
• Implement custom themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate and customize Shopify Apps and APIs.
• Work with Shopify Functions, Checkout UI Extensions, and metafields.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate coding, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct research and generate technical insights using AI tools for performance optimization, UX improvement, and automation.
• Collaborate with the design team to convert Figma/PSD layouts into responsive Shopify themes.
• Optimize site speed and SEO performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain version control using Git.
• Follow agile processes and maintain proper documentation.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficient in Shopify Liquid templating and theme development.
• Must have 2-3 years of experience with Shopify Backend development.
• Experience with Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL) and Storefront API.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Familiar with Shopify CLI, Checkout Extensibility, and Shopify Functions.
• Experience with JSON templates, dynamic sections, and metafields.
• Understanding of AI-assisted development workflows (prompt-based problem solving, code refactoring, etc.).
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of site performance optimization, caching, and SEO best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Shopify Plus and custom app development.
• Knowledge of Node.js or React for building app extensions.
• Experience using tools like Klaviyo, Rebuy, or other Shopify ecosystem apps.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
