Job Description

Job Title: Shift Incharge Nurse (5–6 Years Experience)Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Shift Incharge Nurse to lead nursing operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 6 years of clinical nursing experience with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This role involves supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing shift-related administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff during the assigned shift.
  • Ensure proper staff allocation based on patient acuity and unit needs.
  • Oversee patient care to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for doctors, patients, families, and other departments during the shift.
  • Manage emergencies and respond to patient or staff issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and ensure proper documentation and reporting (e.g., handover reports, incident reports).
  • Conduct shift handovers and ensure continuity of care between shifts.
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of new or junior nursing staff.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, hospital policies, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate any major issues to nursing supervisors or hospital administration as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with relevant experience.
  • Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license (as per state/national regulations).
  • Experience: 5 to 6 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and multitasking.
  • In-depth understanding of nursing standards, protocols, and patient care procedures.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proficient in electronic health records and nursing documentation.

Working Conditions:

  • Hospital or clinical environment
  • Rotational shifts (day/night), including weekends and holidays
  • Requires standing for long hours and handling medical emergencies

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
