Role & responsibilities Job Title: Lead Incharge Job Location: Dolvi - Maharashtra Job Type: Permanent JOB Description To plan, organize, and control the production of Slag handling operations in Steel Melting shops, including Slag evacuation from Furnace Pits, Slag transportation, and Scrap processing in a Steel Manufacturing Industry, ensuring efficient production, on-time delivery, and adherence to standards. Skill required: Slag handling with Loader or Excavator Equipments/Raw material handling. Good computer skills in excel, ppt usage. Basic knowledge in Steel plant furnace operations will be an added advantage. Qualification on Fire & Safety is an added advantage. Education & Experience: B. Tech/B. E Mechanical/Metallurgy/Auto Mobile/Production Technology/Industrial with 5 years of Experience. Diploma Engineers with 8 years of Experience. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES : Safe working practices for the team/ accountable for any safety violations. Operations/Maintenance and supervision of plant operations during the shift Quality of the product Shift team management Confidentiality of Valuable plant information. Equipment condition and fault identification during operations to report to immediate manager. Production Control and Procedures: Shift Planning & leading and production in the shift and ensure production targets. Mobile equipment effective utilization with proper plan. Accountable for shift operations of: Under Furnace Digging/BOF converter (Steel Melt shops) Safe work practices implementation and worker discipline to be maintained. Shift in-charge shall ensure for all activities follow through as per SOPs instruction. Must ensure pre-start check list to follow. Manage human and material resources to meet production targets. Make decisions about equipment use, availability and utilization. Must ensure for quality of product and accountable for quality product. Authorized to issue work permit to maintenance activities in absence of maintenance manager/concern personnel. Work force utilization plan Coordination with customer area owner during shift operations to get the smooth operations. Slag pit supervision and slag handling monitoring to ensure slag dumping in designated locations. Shift incharge must report to Team lead on each shift operations. Must maintain the logbook properly with all information. Observations during shift operations should be share with the team to rectify the problems and to ensure the smooth operations. Determine and implement improvements to the production process. Work out and ensure implementation standard operating procedures for production operation. EHS: Respect all safety rules and policies as per HARSCO standards and follow SOPs. To understand the customer requirements. Ensure Participation in all the company safety event. Ensure & create safe work environment in the area. Ensure & understand all aspects and impacts of the workplace prior to each task and to protect environment as per company standard. Adhere the best practices at work and provide training as per requirements. Ensure toolbox talk before start shift operations/ maintenance activities. Follow incident reporting hierarchy.
