Ensure and follow all safety procedures in work areas during the respective shift.
Coordinate with the production team for preventive maintenance (PM) planning and corrective maintenance (CM) activities.
Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities.
Coordinate daily with the assistant shift supervisor and FTE for the following:
- Shift-wise maintenance report
- Identifying hindrances causing production loss or high rejection due to equipment
- Attendance report on shift basis
- Timely pass-down meetings
Ensure 5S standards are practiced on the shop floor to create a safe, clean, and organized work area throughout the unit.
Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure clarity and consistency in operations.
Coordinate with off-roll supervisor for attendance and leave planning of off-roll executives.
Plan and allocate manpower effectively across shifts to meet production and maintenance requirements.
Utilize SAP to record all shift activities accurately and ensure timely closure of work orders and notification entries.
Train subordinates to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
Analyze critical breakdowns and downtime incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Assess spare parts requirements for machines and equipment on the shift and develop a strategic plan for inventory management.
Plan and complete all required documents related to preventive and autonomous maintenance (PM/AM).
Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) standards by maintaining and updating all related documentation for ISO audits.
Continuously identify opportunities for improvement through Kaizen initiatives and implement sustainable improvements in processes and systems.
