Shift Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Prove out of high precision and high complex and new products.
• Provide technical guidance and support to machinists and technicians in setting up and operating of CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot of tooling issues, programming errors and machine malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.
• Monitor production schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet production targets and customer requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate machining activities on the designated shift, including CNC machining centres, lathes, and other equipment.
• Identify and Improve the bottleneck process and ensure the continual improvement activities.
• Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and addressing safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, maintenance logs, and shift reports.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong technical knowledge in 5 axis machining processes, CNC programming, and machine operations
• Strong technical knowledge in cutting tools.
• Ability to develop new product machining process.
• Problem-solving ability and decision-making skills to resolve operational challenges effectively.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO standards), lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
