SEZ Compliance Officer

As an experienced SEZ Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the finance and accounts team in ensuring end-to-end SEZ compliance and customs documentation. Your role will involve a strong understanding of SEZ regulations, customs procedures, and coordination with various stakeholders such as MEPZ, Customs House Agents, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: - Conversant with SEZ Compliances (Rules & Regulations) - Coordination related to Service Tax / Sales Tax - Handling SEZ online filing and assessment activities including Bill of Entry (B.O.E), Shipping Bills, ARE - 1, Job Work, etc. - Managing Import/Export Documentation. - Utilizing documentation and tariff knowledge for processing in customs and MEPZ. - Establishing a good rapport with custom house agents for necessary support. - Supervising Customs House Agent and C&F Agencies for cargo clearance. - Handling Documentation for Bonding and De-bonding. - Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual unit transaction reports (QPR & APR) and submitting them to MEPZ and Zone AO. - Obtaining special approvals like sub-contractor permission from MEPZ and AO. - Managing local procurement through ARE 1, Zone to Zone transactions, and bill of export. You should have experience working with: Internal to organization: Internal Departments/Employees External to organization: Govt. Agencies/Banks/Customers/MEPZ/Authorized officer (A.O.) Qualifications Required: - Education: Graduate/Post Graduate - Years of Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in SEZ operations Key Components: - Strong documentation & tariff knowledge - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Industry Experience: - Should have experience working in any of these industries: Manufacturing, General Engineering, or Oil & Gas Grade/Band: As per profile Job Location: MFF, Kattupalli, Chennai,
