ServiceNow Developer

HICV is seeking a dedicated and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs. This includes working with stakeholders to understand requirements, implementing new features, optimizing workflows, and maintaining system health and performance. You will also be responsible for ensuring alignment with best practices and providing technical guidance to ensure successful deployment and adoption of ServiceNow modules. To be successful in this position, you must have strong experience with ServiceNow development, a deep understanding of the platforms capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

1. Collaborating with management, departments, and customers to identify and analyse ServiceNow requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions including custom applications, workflows, integrations, and UI components.

2. Participate in medium to large scale projects or Agile/Scrum teams involving ServiceNow implementations, enhancements, or upgrades. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

3. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, customization, and procedures. Evaluate existing implementations to identify areas of improvement and recommend best practices.

4. Perform unit testing, debugging, and validation of solutions. Monitor ServiceNow performance and resolve platform issues. Prepare reports on development activities and system health.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required. Equivalent professional experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on development experience with ServiceNow.
• Proven experience developing in ServiceNow using JavaScript, REST/SOAP integrations, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Flow Designer
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM and CMDB is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (required).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist (preferred).

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and their implementation in ServiceNow.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
