Job Summary:

The ServiceNow Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the comprehensive management and support of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes within the ServiceNow platform. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of asset lifecycle management for hardware, software, and consumable assets, with the ultimate goal of optimizing costs, improving visibility, and maintaining compliance for the organization's IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

? Asset Lifecycle Management:

? Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, consumables, and contracts) within ServiceNow.

? Guarantee the precision and reliability of asset data throughout discovery, inventory, procurement, and disposal phases.

? Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to ensure adherence to established asset policies and licensing agreements.

? ServiceNow Platform Expertise:

? Configure, customize, and maintain ServiceNow ITAM modules, specifically Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).

? Develop and manage asset workflows, business rules, catalog items, and integrations (e.g., CMDB, Discovery, SCCM, JAMF).

? Provide support for data imports, validate discovery results, and reconcile asset records.

? Data Quality, Reporting & Automation:

? Perform regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity between the CMDB, SAM, and procurement systems.

? Create and maintain dashboards and reports for effective asset tracking, utilization, and compliance metrics.

? Identify and implement opportunities for process automation to enhance data efficiency and reduce manual effort.

? Governance & Compliance:

? Ensure all assets comply with organizational policies, lifecycle standards, and relevant compliance frameworks.

? Support software license management and audits, diligently tracking entitlements against consumption.

? Assist in the mitigation of risks associated with unlicensed or obsolete assets.

? Continuous Improvement:

? Actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing ITAM efficiency and automation.

? Stay informed on new ServiceNow releases and ITAM best practices to recommend platform enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

? Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

? 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Asset Management (HAM/SAM).

? Strong understanding of ITIL processes, with a particular focus on ITAM and CMDB relationships.

? Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Integration Hub, and data imports.

? Proficiency in Excel/Sheets, data analysis, and reporting.

? Knowledge of software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle).

? Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
