Description
Responsibilities: Commission, operate, and maintain screw compressor-based chillers (Bitzer, Hanbell etc.) Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on refrigeration circuits, oil systems, Gas recovery, Vacuumizing and capacity control systems. Knowledge of low-temperature refrigeration applications (e.g., -20C to -50C systems), especially in ammonia-based refrigeration systems, including safety protocols and pressure regulations Work on electrical panels, PLCs (Siemens, MCS, Carel etc.), and integrate control logic for chiller systems. Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules. Read and interpret P&ID, wiring diagrams, and refrigerant flow schematics. Generate site reports, service logs, and performance audit summaries. Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures. Coordinate with clients and internal teams for project closures and escalation. Skills and Competencies: 47 years of hands-on experience with screw compressors and industrial chillers Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycle, superheat/subcooling, oil management, and evaporator-condenser performance. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical panels, PLC logic, and sensor-actuator calibration Understanding of motor starters, contactors, relays, VFDs, and MCC wiring Comfortable using tools like multimeter, clamp meter, PLC programming software Ability to read and create technical reports and service documentation Willing to travel across India, including short-notice assignments and extended site stays when required
