Service Engineer Service & Maintenance (Radiology & Imaging Systems)

Job Purpose:
installation, maintenance & repair, and efficient operation
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation, Service & Maintenance
- Perform
installation, calibration, and validation
of X-Ray/ C-Arm/ DR, and CT systems
at customer sites & repair in factory production. - Execute
preventive and corrective maintenance
schedules to ensure high system uptime and reliability. - Diagnose and repair hardware, electrical, and mechanical and software issues in imaging equipment and associated utilities.
- Ensure that all service activities comply with manufacturer guidelines,
AERB regulations
, and internal quality standards.
2. Customer Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide prompt and effective on-site technical support for service calls, ensuring
minimal downtime
. - Guide hospital technicians and radiographers on proper equipment handling and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding service progress, timelines, and outcomes.
- Ensure service quality aligns with Meril's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
3. Preventive Maintenance & Documentation
- Plan and execute
preventive maintenance schedules
for installed imaging systems. - Maintain accurate service records, preventive maintenance logs, and calibration reports.
- Prepare service reports, installation certificates, and equipment performance evaluations.
- Monitor spare parts consumption and inventory levels for timely replacement and availability.
4. Compliance & Safety
- Follow
AERB and ISO 13485
safety standards during maintenance and servicing operations. - Ensure radiation protection measures are adhered to during installation and maintenance activities.
- Maintain adherence to environmental, health, and safety protocols at all work sites.
5. Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate with
Quality, R&D, and Production
teams to communicate recurring field issues and design feedback. - Contribute to service improvement initiatives, reliability enhancement, and customer training programs.
- Support the team during audits, inspections, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience:
B.E. / B.Tech (Biomedical or Electronics Engineering)
or equivalent qualification.Minimum 5 years of experience
in service and maintenance of X-Ray/ C-Arm/ DR & CT imaging systems.
- Proven expertise in installation, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repair of radiology devices.
- Exposure to
AERB safety norms, calibration protocols, and medical equipment servicing standards.
Skills and Competencies:
- Fluent in
English (spoken and written)
with excellent communication and documentation skills. - Strong
technical, analytical, and diagnostic abilities
in electrical, electronic, and mechanical domains. - Good understanding of
medical imaging technologies
and their operational principles. - Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in
MS Office, ERP systems, and service documentation tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively across sites for service requirements.
