Server Administrator & DC Incharge

Key Responsibilities / KRA:

• Responsible for all day-to-day duties assigned by the HOD or management.
• Manage and maintain all physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
• Monitor system uptime, performance, and server health daily.
• Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical servers and successful data backups.
• Administer network infrastructure – LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewalls.
• Provide L2/L3 level technical support for network and system issues.
• Manage datacenter operations including power, cooling, and equipment.
• Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and service providers for issue resolution.
• Maintain updated documentation for servers, configurations, and assets.
• Implement and monitor IT security measures, patch updates, and antivirus.
• Ensure data backup, recovery testing, and disaster-readiness.
• Provide user support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain professional ethics, accountability, and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in server administration or datacenter management.
• Proven experience managing virtualized and cloud environments.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux server environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization tools.
• Proficiency in network management – switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs.
• Understanding of backup systems, DR planning, and storage management.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud).
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Ability to handle datacenter infrastructure and perform preventive maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent vendor coordination and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a high sense of responsibility and dependability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Thrissur, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
