Senior Web Application Developer

As an Electrical/Electronics Engineer at Aptiv, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing automotive products in the areas of Active Safety and User-Experience. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting and enhancing Aptiv's web-based automotive business intelligence tool as part of the Sustaining Engineering L3 team. - Investigating, root-causing, and resolving production issues across distributed systems, often involving complex legacy code and minimal documentation. - Collaborating with systems analysts, engineers, and developers to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and ensure system reliability and performance. - Partnering with users to develop and execute acceptance test plans that validate fixes and enhancements against customer expectations. - Staying updated with evolving software technologies and tools to continuously improve support capabilities and development efficiency. Your background should ideally consist of: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar field. - 5+ years of experience in web application software development. - Full stack development experience using Java, along with front-end development skills in React, Typescript, JavaScript, and CSS. - Experience in building microservices using Service Oriented Architecture. - Strong analytical skills to navigate legacy codebases and resolve issues independently. - Proficiency in software testing, debugging tools, performance profiling, and system optimization techniques. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Ability to work well under pressure and meet delivery timelines. - Familiarity with UI design, data visualization, and user interaction experience. - Enthusiasm for AI-assisted coding and familiarity with database schema design principles. - Experience working with large data sets.
