Expectations of the role:

Technical:

  • Advanced Unity3D knowledge: Strong command of Unity engine, C#, and rendering pipelines (URP/HDRP).
  • Architecture & Design: Ability to design scalable, modular, and performant game/app architectures.
  • Optimization: Skilled in profiling, memory management, frame rate optimization, and cross-platform performance tuning (especially for mobile, XR).
  • Pipeline Integration: Familiar with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD for Unity projects, and asset workflow automation.
  • XR/AR/VR experience: Deep understanding of device-specific development and SDKs (e.g., Oculus, Vuforia, ARKit/ARCore).

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Team Mentorship: Guide junior/mid developers, conduct code reviews, promote best practices.
  • Agile Process: Plan and manage sprints, estimations, task breakdowns, and retrospectives.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Communication: Work closely with designers, artists, and product owners to ensure smooth integration and alignment with goals.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly debug critical issues and lead resolution efforts.

Product Mindset:

  • Technical Direction: Set coding standards, maintain high-quality benchmarks, and influence tech stack decisions.
  • Feature Ownership: Lead the development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
  • Innovation: Push for new techniques and features that enhance user experience and technical edge.
