Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Underwriter with expertise in the 4 C's of underwriting to join our team. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, allowing for some remote work flexibility. Responsibilities include evaluating credit risks, analyzing applications based on the 4 C's of underwriting (Character, Capacity, Capital, and Collateral), and making informed decisions to mitigate risk while meeting client needs. The Senior Underwriter will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations, and support team members through mentorship and guidance to improve underwriting processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in underwriting principles, including the 4 C's: Character, Capacity, Capital, and Collateral analysis
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
• Experience with risk assessment, problem-solving, and developing risk mitigation strategies
• Effective communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills to work across teams and with clients
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment, including excellent self-discipline and time management skills
• Proven expertise in underwriting for various asset classes and financial products is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or certification in underwriting or risk management preferred
• Experience in handling high-value or complex underwriting cases will be considered a plus
