Senior Test Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer with 5 years of experience in software testing, additionally in automation testing using Selenium, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and API testing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ensuring the quality of software products. Knowledge of the US healthcare domain is essential for this role, as it will involve testing healthcare-related applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) approaches to ensure test coverage and alignment with business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured to validate the functionality and performance of backend services.
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity testing as part of the software release cycle.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in automation testing and incorporate relevant tools and techniques into the testing process.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the testing team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Additional Skills (good to have):

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Set up and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, Hybrid Framework) to support efficient and scalable test automation.
• Execute automated test cases, analyze test results, and report defects to the development team in a timely manner.
• Utilize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing processes and ensure faster delivery of high-quality software.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in software testing, with an additional knowledge on automation testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and techniques, including RESTful APIs and JSON/XML data formats.
• Knowledge of the US healthcare domain, including regulations such as HIPAA, is required.
• Excellent skills in testing to identify test cases and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications in software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium) are a plus.
