About You

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will play a key part in ensuring users and customers can easily understand our products. A key early focus will be bringing documentation for a new product into our existing documentation set, thoughtfully and incrementally, without disrupting what already works. You will work closely with product, engineering, QA, and platform success teams, able to work independently and as part of a larger group. You will own documentation end to end for specific product areas, while also helping evolve our broader documentation structure, standards, and processes as the platform grows.

The Technical Documentation team is a lean, agile team that works closely with product, engineering, marketing and account teams to produce high-quality documentation for our customers. We are the go-to source for knowledge on all parts of the platform. We build out documentation infrastructure and processes for scaling for our growing customer base and rapid development lifecycle.

What youll do and how youll have an impact

  • Create and maintain clear, accurate, customer facing documentation for new and existing products
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, QA, and Platform Success to understand features and user workflows
  • Lead the integration of new product documentation into our current docs over time, ensuring consistency in structure, tone, and navigation
  • Review UI text, error messages, and in product copy during the development cycle
  • Support multiple features or teams in parallel, balancing priorities and deadlines
  • Think of developers as customers and advocate for their needs in documentation
  • Contribute to weekly release notes and feature announcements as needed
  • Review and provide feedback on other writers work
  • Help evolve and maintain our internal style guide and documentation standards
  • Participate in code and API reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency

What were looking for

  • A university degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in a technical writing role
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for clarity, structure, and detail
  • Experience creating and maintaining documentation using a docs as code approach
  • Experience writing developer focused documentation
  • Working knowledge of how B2B sales and revenue operations work
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce sales operations
  • Experience with tools such as Intercom, ReadMe, Docusaurus, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools such as JIRA

Good to have

  • Strong comfort working with Markdown
  • Working knowledge of Intercom Knowledge base
  • Experience testing and documenting REST APIs
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming language such as JavaScript or Java
  • Good understanding of HTML, XML, and CSS
