The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Solutions Support team in LOCATION. In this role, you will specialize in Red Hat's technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Your main responsibility will be to offer expert technical support to a limited number of customers. You will collaborate closely with customers, Red Hat's Global Support team, Critical Accounts team, and Engineering teams, engaging with some of Red Hat's most strategic customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing advanced technical support to customers via web-based and phone support - Collaborating with Red Hat enterprise customers globally on a 24x7 basis, involving periodic shifts - Regularly meeting with customers to ensure alignment of Red Hat with their support priorities - Working with other Red Hat teams engaged with customers - Performing technical diagnostics and troubleshooting customer technical issues to develop solutions - Exceeding customer expectations through exceptional communication and service - Consulting and building relationships with Red Hat engineering teams to enhance solutions and customer satisfaction - Contributing to the global Red Hat Knowledge Management System by sharing knowledge and presenting troubleshooting instructions and solutions to other engineers within Red Hat Qualifications sought: - 5+ years of relevant experience - Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical interactions with customers - Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities - A passion for technical investigation and issue resolution - Experience in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance - Basic knowledge of Linux containers Desirable qualifications include: - Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) - Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, GCP - Knowledge of Ansible and YAML - Linux scripting experience - Understanding of change window/change controls - Prior Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or other Linux certifications; candidates in this role are expected to pass the RHCE certification within 90 days Join Red Hat, the world's foremost provider of enterprise open-source software solutions, and be part of a community-powered organization delivering high-performance Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
