Job Description

1. Direct Tax Compliance

Ensure timely filing of corporate tax returns, TDS returns and related statutory filings.
Oversee tax audits, transfer pricing documentation, , Form 3CD, Form 3CEB,3 CEAA , Form 67 and tax provisioning.

2. Tax Planning & Advisory

Drive annual tax planning initiatives to optimise tax liability legally and efficiently.
Advise management on tax implications for business transactions, expansions and structuring.
Track regulatory changes and update management on impact.
Knowledge in Merger, Demerger, Bilateral advance pricing authority etc.

3. Assessment & Litigation Handling

Lead all income-tax assessments, enquiries, departmental audits and scrutiny cases.
Prepare responses, submissions and documentation for tax authorities.
Coordinate with consultants and legal teams for litigation matters at CIT(A), ITAT etc.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with Finance, Legal, Plants and Procurement teams for tax-related compliance.
Support statutory audits, internal audits and transfer pricing audits.
Review financial statements for tax accuracy and provisioning.

5. Governance & Process Improvement

Strengthen tax control frameworks, internal documentation and audit trails.
Drive automation and process improvements for tax reporting and compliance.
Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and corporate governance standards.
