Senior Tax Analyst

Skills and Competencies
Ideal candidate must have 2-4 years of state local tax experience. Should possess strong Microsoft Office products skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Working knowledge of Corptax, Vertex and SAP is a plus Education Graduate, plus to have Master s degree in finance/commerce/taxation Responsibilities Prepare monthly sales tax summary files and related general ledger account reconciliations and work with Vertex sales tax software to ensure monthly compliance is filed and documented. Process sales tax exemption certificates as requested by customers. Prepare corporate income tax returns Prepare apportionment schedules Prepare corporate income tax estimate and extension forms Maintain and update the compliance calendar and database file as work is completed.. Prepare ACH/Check vouchers for tax payments Assist Senior Tax Manager and VP with audits, notices and other inquiries Prepare business personal property returns and gross receipts taxes Run reports (PL BS), account drills and prepare journal entries in SAP Research - assist the Tax Manager with SL tax alerts regarding statutory law changes and court case resolutions to assess the impact to Moodys compliance filings.

About the team
Our Global Tax Department team is responsible for all Moodys tax needs globally. This role will be specifically be working for the state local function within that department.
