Senior System Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day

  data centre operations

  , including physical access, environment monitoring, UPS checks, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain

  Windows/Linux servers, storage systems

  , and perform event log analysis, patching, and optimization.
• Support

  VMware/Hyper-V

  environmentsVM provisioning, snapshots, resource allocation, and health checks.
• Manage

  AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure

  : EC2/Azure VMs, storage, IAM, security groups, backups, tagging, cost control, and monitoring via CloudWatch/Azure Monitor.
• Support

  hybrid cloud setups

  including AD Sync, VPN Gateways, and cloud networking.
• Manage

  Active Directory, Azure AD, O365, FTP accounts

  , GPOs, shared folders, and access provisioning.
• Maintain

  system registration, asset inventory

  , server and license records, and OEM portal updates.
• Monitor critical applications, execute and troubleshoot

  backup/restore workflows

  (Veeam, Commvault), and maintain recovery logs.
• Handle

  security & compliance

  tasks: antivirus/EDR monitoring, device security enforcement, SIEM alert monitoring, and audit support for ISO 27001/SOC2.
• Conduct

  periodic user access reviews

  across AD, O365, SharePoint, CyberArk, WSFTP, and cloud environments.
• Assist in

  disaster recovery drills

  , documentation updates, and regular SLA/uptime/incident reporting.
• Coordinate with

  vendors/internal teams

  for hardware, software, cloud issues, and ensure timely ticket resolution within SLA.

Preferred candidate profile

8 to 12 years of experience in system administration in pharma industry.

Education & Certifications:

- Bachelors degree in IT/Computer Science.

- Preferred: MCSA, Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps/Cloud Practitioner, ITIL.

Technical Skills:

- Expertise in Windows/Linux server administration.

- Experience with AD, Azure AD, O365, ITSM tools.

- Knowledge of cloud (AWS/Azure), virtualization, backup solutions, monitoring tools.

- Understanding of networking basics: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP.

- Patch management and endpoint security knowledge.

- Basic PowerShell/Bash scripting.
