Senior Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Structural Design & Analysis :

• Perform structural design and analysis of

  steel structures

  (industrial sheds, portal frames, mezzanine floors, trusses, etc.) using STAAD.Pro, IDEA StatiCa, Excel, AutoCAD and Tekla Structures, etc.
• Prepare and validate

  GA drawings, connection design reports,

  and

  fabrication details.

• Optimize member sizes and connections for cost-effective yet safe designs.
  
• Apply

  Indian (IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893)

  and relevant international codes (AISC, BS, Eurocode).

2. Coordination & Documentation :

• Collaborate closely with

  architects, MEP consultants, and fabricators

  for coordinated designs.
• Review and finalize

  structural drawings

  in coordination with the drafting team.
• Prepare

  design reports, calculation sheets, BOQs, and technical documentation.

• Conduct design reviews, value engineering studies, and constructability checks.
  

3. Project Execution & Technical Supervision :

• Support site teams during execution with design clarifications and revisions.
  
• Conduct

  site inspections and structural audits

  for quality assurance.
• Ensure safety, durability, and stability of all designed components.
  

4. Leadership & Mentoring :

• Guide and review the work of

  junior engineers and draftsmen.

• Contribute to building standard design procedures, templates, and internal SOPs.
  
• Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions with clients.
  

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree

  in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred).

• 5-6 years

  of proven experience in structural designparticularly

  steel structures.

• Strong command over

  STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.

• Sound knowledge of

  IS, AISC, and other international design standards.

• Hands-on experience with

  industrial, PEB, or commercial steel structures.

Preferred Skills :

• Ability to manage projects from

  concept to detailed design

  independently.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and

  problem-solving

  skills.
• Excellent communication, client coordination, and presentation abilities.
  
• Understanding of

  connection design, fabrication detailing,

  and

  erection sequencing.

• Exposure to

  international projects or BIM-based workflows

  will be an added advantage.
