Key Responsibilities 1. Structural Design & Analysis : Perform structural design and analysis of steel structures (industrial sheds, portal frames, mezzanine floors, trusses, etc.) using STAAD.Pro, IDEA StatiCa, Excel, AutoCAD and Tekla Structures, etc. Prepare and validate GA drawings, connection design reports, and fabrication details. Optimize member sizes and connections for cost-effective yet safe designs. Apply Indian (IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893) and relevant international codes (AISC, BS, Eurocode). 2. Coordination & Documentation : Collaborate closely with architects, MEP consultants, and fabricators for coordinated designs. Review and finalize structural drawings in coordination with the drafting team. Prepare design reports, calculation sheets, BOQs, and technical documentation. Conduct design reviews, value engineering studies, and constructability checks. 3. Project Execution & Technical Supervision : Support site teams during execution with design clarifications and revisions. Conduct site inspections and structural audits for quality assurance. Ensure safety, durability, and stability of all designed components. 4. Leadership & Mentoring : Guide and review the work of junior engineers and draftsmen. Contribute to building standard design procedures, templates, and internal SOPs. Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions with clients. Required Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred). 5-6 years of proven experience in structural designparticularly steel structures. Strong command over STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and MS Excel. Sound knowledge of IS, AISC, and other international design standards. Hands-on experience with industrial, PEB, or commercial steel structures. Preferred Skills : Ability to manage projects from concept to detailed design independently. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, client coordination, and presentation abilities. Understanding of connection design, fabrication detailing, and erection sequencing. Exposure to international projects or BIM-based workflows will be an added advantage.
