Senior Structural Designer

About the role:

Senior Structural Designer must operate as part of a team in the design and drafting activities, Checking 2D drawings, Technical Drawings, Arrangement drawings in support of engineering activities. Guide a team of designers to prepare Layouts and detail drawings for offshore steel structures and Ship structures (Like Hull, equipment foundations, lifting arrangement, mooring/towing arrangement.) Quality checking of the drawings to ensure the maximum drawing quality and optimisation. Collaborate with the Structural Analysis Engineers and Team.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in leading a team of designers
• Should be well versed in design drawings of offshore/marine/subsea structures, analyses, related engineering assessments, calculations, procedures and requirements
• Should be able to perform first principal engineering calculations for structural design.
• Should be able to check the drawings in detail from the perspective of engineering, construction feasibility and the drafting quality.
• Generate MTOs, Specification's for the Structural Drawing.
• Must be well versed with Offshore industry related guidelines, codes and regulations such as API-RP-2A, API-RP-2L, AISC, CAP-437 ICAO Annex -14, DNV rules, offshore material specifications as per BS, ASTM & Euro etc

Candidate requirements:

• Diploma (Civil, Mechanical)
• Proficient in 2D CAD software like AutoCAD or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should be proficient in good communication skills and multitasking capability.
• Outlook, Excel, Adobe Reader - Proficient user.
