Job Description

As a Senior Associate DevOps Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be a developing subject matter expert responsible for consulting with internal clients regarding the software technology environment with medium complexity. Your primary objective will be to design, test, implement, and maintain software code that enables computer systems to perform specific tasks. Here is what you will be doing: Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with Platform Specialists to receive detailed business/user requirement specifications. - Assist in preparing a technical requirements document, including systems and flowcharts. - Analyze business requirements and ensure that the designed solution meets those requirements. - Transform detailed requirements into a complete systems design document. - Compile detailed technical specifications for developers or IT Programmers. - Convert designs into a complete information system by acquiring and installing systems environment, creating and testing databases, and more. - Ensure that the development phase is well-documented, including development procedures for application use and security. - Identify and correct program errors in logic and data as required. - Assist with the installation and deployment of applications. - Resolve any problems identified in integration and test phases. - Support all code sets and implementations in production according to defined Service Level Agreements. - Write and distribute task descriptions in a production environment to operate and maintain the implemented solution. Knowledge and Attributes: - Knowledge of multi-technology application design best practices. - Ability to take holistic views of application environments. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Developing technical understanding of development and platform engineering. - Client-centric with a focus on business outcomes. - Highly organized with excellent planning skills. - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders. - Impeccable attention to detail and ability to work well within a team. - Knowledge of project management principles. - Developing knowledge of continuous integration and deployment pipelines. - Experience with deployment and release management. - Knowledge of automation tooling and source code repositories. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelors degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field. - Relevant DevOps certification preferred. - Relevant Agile related certification preferred. - Certification of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Certification of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby). Required Experience: - Relevant experience in Software Development and Support. - Experience deploying software solutions in an outsourced or similar IT environment. - Experience working in a multi-team environment across multiple geographies. - Programming/development experience including Agile processes.
