Senior Sql Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development, database management, and a strong background in the retail domain. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows, supporting our business intelligence and application development initiatives. Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for large-scale databases.
• Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Create, manage, and enhance reports and dashboards using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and application developers to understand requirements and deliver effective database solutions.
• Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of SQL queries and database processes.
• Work closely with stakeholders from the retail domain to understand data needs and support data-driven decision making.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry best practices.
• If experienced, leverage GCP (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, etc.) for cloud-based data integration and analytics.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development and database management.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2016/2019 or later).
• Proven experience with SSIS (ETL workflow design and automation).
• Advanced skills in SSRS (report creation, deployment, and support).
• Demonstrated experience working in the retail domain is mandatory.
• Experience in database design, data modeling, and normalization.
• Strong background in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving database issues.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with cloud technologies, especially GCP (Google Cloud Platform), is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional reporting or ETL tools.
• Exposure to cloud data migration projects.
• Experience with e-commerce or omnichannel retail systems.
